FHA is a specialist Property Law and Conveyancing practice with offices conveniently located on Main Road Hout Bay, Cape Town. We are acutely aware that time is money in dealing with the sale and transfer of your property, and we have built a solid reputation on prompt and efficient service.

The conveyancing market is undoubtedly moving into, and embracing, the future: with technology at our fingertips, communication and interaction with role-players in the conveyancing process has become increasingly computerised, and client-service has been enhanced through curtailed turn-around times and more accurate reporting mechanisms.

With this in mind, Frank Holland set out to establish FHA as a modern conveyancing practice, in tune with the technologies available, whilst never losing sight of the fact that property transactions will always be unique, and that the value of personal attention to the intricacies that exist in a particular transaction can never be overlooked or underestimated.

FRANK HOLLAND

Frank attended Wynberg Boys High School and thereafter obtained his BA (Law), LLB degrees at the University of Stellenbosch. After completing his articles of clerkship with a well-established conveyancing firm, Frank went on to establish a successful branch-office for that firm. His entrepreneurial spirit saw him identify the opportunity to create a specialist property and conveyancing practice in the heart of Hout Bay, and FHA was born.

KIRSTY PAYNE

Kirsty completed her B.comm (Law) and LLB degrees at the University of South Africa. Thereafter she completed the University of Cape Town LEAD Practical Legal Training program with outstanding achievement. She completed her articles of clerkship in a Commercial Litigation/General Practice firm where she continued to practice after her admission in April 2016. In June 2017 Kirsty decided to make the well-considered move into property and conveyancing and hasn’t looked back since.

DAVID HIGGS

Having obtained his LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch, David went on to specialise in litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular interest in civil and commercial areas of law. In doing so, David has represented prominent corporate clients, including the likes of Telkom and various major banking institutions. David has also served as general counsel for a pharmaceutical company, having gained additional expertise in the medical and health industries.

DANIEL HODGSON

Daniel studied at Stellenbosch University where he completed his LLB degree after attending a semester abroad on exchange at the University of Amsterdam. He served his articles at a boutique law firm specialising in Labour and Commercial law and was admitted as an Attorney in February 2019. He continued practising as an attorney for that firm and thereafter worked independently as a legal consultant for a general practise. In 2023, Daniel decided to write the conveyancing board exams where he discovered his passion for property and after passing the exams joined FHA in July 2023.

GILLIAN NIEMIEC

Gillian joined the property industry as personal assistant to a principal estate agent and went on to work as the property administrator for a development company before moving into the paralegal sphere. She has over 25 years’ experience in a wide range of aspects in the field and her abundant knowledge shows in the quality and skill of her work. Gillian has a sunny disposition and can see always see the silver lining, she is a great asset to the team.

TRACY GORDON

Tracy grew up in Cape Town and started her career in the aviation industry. After a few years of working throughout Africa as a Commercial / Charter Pilot she returned home and completed her Paralegal Diploma at The South African School of Paralegal Studies in 2015, with a keen interest in Property Law and Conveyancing. She embraced the career change and gained good experience working within both the transfers and bonds departments of a well-known Cape Town law firm. Tracy takes pride in her work and enjoys building valued client relationships. Tracy joined FHA in December 2020.

ZEENAT PANDY

Zeenat has always had a keen interest in property law and conveyancing and joined the industry back in 2007 gaining extensive experience at leading Law Firms in Johannesburg. She recently relocated to Cape Town with her family and joined FHA. With over 15 years’ experience across various areas of conveyancing, her extensive knowledge shows in the quality of her work.

LORANDI VAN BILJON

Lorandi completed her BA degree in English and Communication at the University of South Africa. After briefly working in private banking she went on to gain extensive experience in various aspects of conveyancing, at well known law firms in Stellenbosch and Cape Town. Lorandi’s knowledge and attention to detail ensures high quality work.

TANI WALTERS

Tani hails from the Eastern Cape and began her career in Cape Town in the Property Industry 11 years ago. Having worked in the capacity of both estate agent and agency support, Tani has gained deep insights into the workings of the business, from both a sales and a conveyancing perspective. Tani joined FHA in March 2019 as Client Liaison Manager. She is a proud wife, and mother of two beautiful daughters. She resides in Hout Bay with her family where they enjoy an adventurous lifestyle.

HAYLEY HOLLAND

Born and bred in Cape Town, Hayley’s strong administrative background stems from 15 years working in IT Project Management for one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions. The last few years Hayley has spent raising her two children and working part time for a commercial property company. Hayley joined FHA in May 2021 as an Executive Assistant to Frank and to manage the firm’s offices.
